# Inside sales

> How sales reps can use Circuit to quickly find product specs, competitive positioning, and pricing information.

As a sales rep, you need fast access to accurate product information during calls, while preparing proposals, or when responding to prospect questions. Circuit gives you a conversational way to search across product catalogs, pricing guides, competitive analyses, and sales playbooks.

## Common scenarios

### Finding product specifications

When a prospect asks a technical question you don't have memorized:

> What are the maximum throughput and supported connection types for the XYZ-500? A prospect is asking during a call right now.

The agent finds and presents the specs quickly, with the source document cited so you can share it if the prospect wants the full datasheet.

### Competitive positioning

> A prospect is evaluating our XYZ-500 against Competitor's ABC unit. What are our main advantages, especially around energy efficiency and total cost of ownership?

> What objections do prospects typically raise when comparing us to Competitor, and what are the recommended responses?

### Preparing proposals and quotes

> I'm putting together a proposal for a fleet of 20 XYZ-500 units for a logistics company. What should I include about our service level agreements and warranty terms?

> What discount tiers are available for orders of 50+ units? Are there any current promotions?

### Answering customer follow-ups

> A customer asked whether the XYZ-500 is compatible with their existing ABC monitoring system. Can you check our integration documentation?

## Tips for sales use

<Tip>
  **Include the prospect's industry or use case.** The agent can tailor its response, emphasizing uptime for manufacturing, compliance for healthcare, or scalability for tech companies.
</Tip>

* **Mention the urgency**: "I'm on a call right now" tells the agent to keep the answer brief and direct
* **Ask for comparison tables**: "Give me a comparison table of the XYZ-500 vs XYZ-400 highlighting the improvements"
* **Request customer-ready language**: "Write this so I can paste it into an email to the prospect"
* **Ask about case studies**: "Do we have any case studies from customers in the manufacturing sector?"

## Example chat

> **You:** I'm on a call with a prospect in the food processing industry. They want to know if the XYZ-500 meets FDA hygiene requirements for food production environments. Quick answer needed.
>
> **Agent:** Yes, the XYZ-500 with the stainless steel housing option (model XYZ-500-SS) is designed for food production environments and meets... \[brief, direct answer with citation]
>
> **You:** Great. Can you send me the relevant section from the compliance datasheet so I can email it to them after the call?
>
> **Agent:** Here's the relevant section from the XYZ-500 Compliance Datasheet (page 12)... \[extracted content with full citation]
